By all 23 Governor, 221Congresspeople, and 47 Senators

 

Donald J. Trump is a master at getting enormous and broad media attention, with all of his incessant, outrageous, incoherent, often contradictory outburst and posts. Because he is the President, the media has no choice but to cover everything he says and posts. 

 

Because of this Trump Tsunami of output, media response(s) by any of the 291 Democratic elected officials (governors, senators, congresspeople) are fragmented, disjointed, uncoordinated and puny allowing Trump to appear unopposed by any Democrats leaders.

 

When the Trump Tsunami of idiocy hits the world (and all 291 Democratic leaders), we are all thrown off our (metaphorical) feet by the impact, and we have to do everything we can to stand upright. Extending the Tsunami metaphor: when you stand up and assess the damage from the first monster wave, you have to quickly shift thinking about the first wave and figure out how to survive the new big wave (that is sure to come any minute now.)

 

This incessant quantity of outrageous blather from Trump always keeps the Democrats on the backfoot. Trump lies or says something idiotic about ABCD on Monday, which provokes outrage in the media by a random few of the disjointed Dems on Tuesday, and then Trump lies or says something idiotic about WXYZ on Wednesday, which distracts people from the outrage about ABCD, leaving the random few of the disjointed Dems who spoke out on Tuesday looking feeble and neglected.

 

There is no clear, unanimously obvious Democratic Party leader to stand up every day, brace herself after every Tsunami washes over her and then gather her thoughts to speak to the media and world for her Party and all Democrats against the Trump Travesities. (Not Biden, Not Harris, Not Obama, Not Schumer, Not Jeffries, Not Bernie, Not AOC, Not Walz, Not James Carville). 

 

The British have their famous Prime Minister’s Questions Time every Wednesday at noon, which gives the Opposition Leader the chance to face the PM directly. There is nothing even close to this in the US. Shame.
